What we already know so far about the spectacle musical 40-45 & VIP packages

The premiere of the feature musical 40-45 is getting closer and closer. To be precise, it is 232 days until October 7, the day of the premiere. But before then, let's go over what we already know about the musical.

The story:

The story of 40-45 is set in Antwerp, just after the First World War. Staf and Louis Segers are born a year apart. They grow up in a warm nest. The brothers are heart friends and nothing seems to be able to break their bond... Until the inevitable happens: World War II breaks out and that leaves traces in every living room, in every family. Also in the family of Staf and Louis....

 The cast:

What is special about the cast is that there are not one, but two casts: the blue cast and the green cast. Only the two main characters will be played by the same actors during all performances, namely: Jelle Cleymans and Jonas Van Geel!

The blue cast includes: Jelle Cleymans (Staff), Jonas Van Geel (Louis), Peter Van de Velde (Emiel), Marleen Merckx (Anna), Jo De Meyere (Leon) & Clara Cleymans (Sarah)

The green cast includes: Jelle Cleymans (Staf), Jonas Van Geel (Louis), Lucas Van den Eynde (Emiel), Ann Tuts (Anna), Herbert Flack (Leon) & Nathalie Meskens (Sarah)

Location:

It concerns a site right at the junction of the A12 and the N16 in Puurs. In the coming months, Studio 100 will completely transform this site into an accessible, audience-friendly and modern theater where visitors can enjoy a captivating performance in complete comfort.

The foyer:

The foyer welcomes all the people who come to see the musical. The foyer is 3000² and offers you the opportunity to eat or drink something. You will also find the checkroom, the information desk, the toilets & the restaurant.

The temporary structure:

Next to the foyer there will be a temporary structure 70 meters by 70 meters and 20 meters high. In that temporary construction will be the 8 moving bleachers where the public can take their seats. Each section of the grandstand will consist of about 200 seats, which can be reached via a staircase at the back of the grandstand. In total, there are more than 1,600 seats.

The walkway:

The actors' dressing rooms are located next to the foyer. To make sure the actors do not have to walk through the foyer to get to the scene, they are going to build a real walkway across the foyer.

The train:

The scene will also feature a train. More information about the train will follow later.
