This morning Studio 100 presented the music of the grand musical total spectacle 40-45. The music is composed by none other than Will Tura and Steve Willaert. Lead singer Jelle Cleymans immediately grabbed the audience present by the throat with a catchy solo number. The other songs also thrilled the audience. Bezieler Gert Verhulst and director Frank Van Laecke are extremely pleased with the musical score that is currently being written for this mega-production.

The Flemish press gathered at Studio 100 in Schelle this morning for the presentation of the music of the spectacle musical 40-45. The story of 40-45 revolves around 2 brothers played by Jonas Van Geel and Jelle Cleymans. Will Tura and Steve Willaert faced the leaden task of writing music for this large and demanding production. After the presentation, everyone agreed that this duo performed this task with distinction.

Will Tura “When Gert Verhulst asked me to write the music for 40-45, I didn't hesitate for a moment. I had long cherished the dream of one day writing a musical. Together with Steve Willaert, I set to work composing music for this exceptional production. Note for note, we tried to come up with music that told the story and the intense emotions of 40-45. The music for this performance must touch the audience, in every aspect.”

Frank van Laecke: “Writing music for a production like 40-45 is a particularly tough assignment. You need music that can serve both large mass scenes and more intimate songs. Moreover, the music must also perfectly reflect the emotions of the characters. I dare say that Will and Steve have more than succeeded in this”

Gert Verhulst: “My admiration for Will Tura is enormous. His talent as a songwriter combined with Steve Willaert's experience as a film composer means we have found the dream tandem for 40-45.”

Meanwhile, ticket sales are going very well as 35,000 tickets have already been sold until today.
